Job Summary and Purpose
Liaise with the government bodies of behalf of Company and ensure all the government affairs formalities and related activities are completed on time, and compliance with applicable rules regulations, while extending the required support to Company and its staff.
Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
Government Affairs:
1. Arrange all required documents related to residents permits (PR) related services for employees and their family members (i.e. PR Issuance, renewal, transfer, cancellation, job title change, nationality, et.) and apply related applications to the appropriate authorities, and follow up their progress/processing.
2. Arrange all required documents and forms related to CID and all types of visas (work visas, business visa, visit visa, family entry visa, re-entry visa, housemaid visa, block visa and new-born baby visa), and apply related applications to the appropriate authorities, and follow up their progress/processing.
3. Draft and prepare general letters addressed to different parties such as ministries, medical, commission, customs seamen book, traffic department…etc.
4. Process Nakilat and Joint Venture Companies’ staff exit permits (single and multiple exit permits) in compliance with the applicable policies and regulations.
5. Participate in any investigations of visa, work or civil irregularities concerning employees and assist the Head of Government Affairs to prepare related reports accordingly.
6. Coordinate with immigration authorities to collect employees’ passports once the required transactions are processed.
7. Provide support and advise to Joint Ventures Companies with regards to the governmental affairs related formalities, requirements, and procedure.
8. Arrange and prepare all required documents related to renewing and updating NAKILAT and Joint Venture companies’ legal licenses.
9. Keep standby to take any necessary actions in case of emergency or as needed
10 Monitor the records of the government affairs related petty cash, and credit cards receipts in a monthly manner.
11. Advise personnel on the required requirements and procedures related to any governmental affairs related services.
12. Coordinate with various government authorities in the event of employee’s death and ensure the timely escalation of the repatriation process
13. Provide support to Nakilat and JV companies staff with matters related to obtaining Qatari driving license, car registration and insurance.
14. Keeping abreast with all government affairs related rules and regulations, and notify all concerned parties within Nakilat and JV companies with any related changes accordingly, to take the appropriate actions (if any)
15. Handle matters related to Nakilat, JV companies and their staff with the external entities such as ICT Qatar, General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority, Qatar Chamber, Kahraama, Ministry of public health etc. and as requested by the company
16. Apply or medical test, finger print and E-Gate appointments for Nakilat and JV companies’ employee and their families.
Others:
Carry out any other related duties as directed by Head of Government Affairs to support the relevant fleet technical team.
