To participate in the setting of standards and agree clinical audit topics with the Director of nursing services, ensuring that the identified audits take place with any actions implemented.
To organize any necessary admission, transfer in and out of the facilitates in consultation with medical staff.
To discuss and promote innovations that will improve patient care with the administrator.
Professional
To complete and maintain the competency portfolio within the allocated time frames and ensure that all other clinical training requirements are fulfilled according to local requirements and the department training calendar.
To successfully complete the Immediate Life Support course on an annual basis.
To ensure personal continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained to comply with DHA requirements.
To ensure that all mandatory training is attended within the required time frames.
To maintain current awareness regarding developments in nursing and in the critical care service.
To attend Hospital meetings and functions, as required
