Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Primary Education to lead and inspire the development and success of the Primary and Nursery school. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high standards in curriculum design, teaching, and assessment, driving engagement, achievement, and progress for children of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction and Development:
1. Develop and implement policies and practices aligned with the school’s vision, focusing on high achievement and effective teaching.
2. Establish, monitor, and evaluate short, medium, and long-term plans for departmental growth.
3. Use data to identify underperforming students and create actionable support plans.
4. Analyze and interpret relevant school data.
5. Ensure relevant schemes of work are developed, regularly reviewed, and evaluated for all year groups.
Teaching and Learning:
1. Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all students, including high achievers and those with special educational needs.
2. Establish clear policies for assessing, recording, and reporting student achievements.
3. Evaluate teaching quality within the department, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
Leading and Managing Staff:
