Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

**Job Overview:**

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that the workplace is safe and compliant with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role involves conducting safety inspections, implementing safety programs, and training employees on safety protocols. The Safety Officer plays a critical role in preventing workplace accidents and injuries, thereby contributing to a safer work environment at the Prime Plastic Industry factory.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the facility, machinery, and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.

- Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including induction training for new hires and refresher courses for existing staff.

- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions taken.

- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that it is used correctly by all employees.

- Ensure that fire safety equipment is properly maintained and that fire drills are conducted regularly.

- Collaborate with the management team to develop emergency response plans and procedures.

- Liaise with external safety consultants, auditors, and government authorities to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Promote a safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee involvement in safety programs and initiatives.
