- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, optimizing travel time while adhering to local traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Safely load and unload cargo, securing shipments properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe driving practices.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, demonstrating problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges on the road.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, participating in ongoing training and certification programs when necessary.
- Conduct post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
