1. APEX HSEQ & Sustainability Meeting – Lead and run the APEX Meeting for all Terminals & Plant every quarter to review the reactive and proactive indicators and maintain the minutes of the meeting.
2. ER Drills – Liaise with the local authorities and plan and conduct annual mega drill to meet the legal and customer requirements. Conduct internal mock drills as per the drill plan across all the UAE terminals / plants. Develop Emergency Response Plan and Business Continuity Plan for the Terminal operations in coordination with Group HSEQ Play the ER role in the unlikely event of incident and manage the emergencies along with ER team.
3. Customer Management – Attend and participate in the customer review meetings and fulfill the customer requirements on time.
4. Authorities Inspection/Audits: Laise with Concern Authorities (Civil Defense, Police, Port Authorities, Freezone Authorities, Security Authorities, Waste Management, etc.) for their inspection and keep all relevant permits up to date. Initiate timely actions to renew the permits before expiry.
5. Customer Audits – Lead and Support the terminal / plant operations in the customer audits and ensure the actions are closed as per the agreed timeline.
6. External Audits – Lead the external certification audits like ISO Audits, CDI – T Assessment, Social Compliance Audits, etc., with the support from Group HSEQ in UAE Terminal / Plant operations and working on to close the agreed findings on time Support.
7. External Certifications – Ensure to maintain the validity of all the external certification like ISO, ICT, etc. and initiate timely renewal.
8. Internal Audit - Support and demonstrate transparency in the Group Internal HSEQ MS Audit and close all the audits findings within the agreed period.
9. Incident Investigation – Report the incidents and customer complaints recorded in the Sri Lanka operations to Group HSEQ and Business Excellence team respectively. Investigate the incidents and customer complaints in a positive blame free environment and share report to Group Team for review. Ensure the corrective actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence of the incidents and share the learning from incidents to others.
10. Incident Tracker & Corrective Action Tracker: Maintain the incident tracking register and ensure all corrective actions are closed on time. Prepare the trend analysis of all the reported NMPI and accidents, and appropriate training and development program to be conducted. Track and monitor all the internal and external action items using Corrective Action Tracker and ensure to take the actions on time.
11. Legal Requirements – Liaise with the local authorities and monitors the changes in the legal requirements and update the legal register and ensure full compliance.
12. Risk Assessment - Carry out the terminal or plant inspection periodically and carry out risk assessment as per the IMS, Customer and Operational requirements.
