Role Summary:

The purpose of the role is to plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities regarding International Trade Control to ensure BAYANAT remains compliant with all trade control regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supports the delivery of BAYANAT Ethics and Compliance Program across BAYANAT Core Companies

Conducts risk assessment across BAYANAT Core Companies with respect to Trade Control compliance and identifies & remediates high risk areas and gaps in processes

Develops, Documents, Monitors and Reports BAYANAT Trade Control strategy and operational trade compliance guidelines

Conducts regular monitoring and auditing of export related activities across BAYANAT core Companies to ensure compliance with Trade Control regulations

Develops, documents, monitors and Reports Trade Control procedures and strategy to ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations

Serves as subject matter expert for internal stakeholders across BAYANAT core Companies for all Trade Control matters.

Implement BAYANAT compliance program

Liaises with International Trade Control Regulators Assist BAYANAT associated entities where directed with any Trade Control related matters, procedures and processes

Apply for appropriate export licenses as required; document, monitor and report against all licenses.

Manages all trade compliance risks; Implement and oversee, manage document and report export control classification across BAYANAT core Companies

Responsible for the developing and delivering specialist training with respect to Trade Control training to all BAYANAT core Companies and supports the delivery of core compliance training topics

Advises and implements best practice across BAYANAT Core Companies in relation to Trade Control

Establish tools for record keeping, export classification and screening

Draft due diligence questionnaires and end user certificates

Mentors, trains and supervises junior staff

Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and delivery of service by the Compliance function

Engages in regular internal stakeholder management in accordance with the Compliance engagement model

To qualify, you must have

A Bachelor’s Degree in Law

Should be a Certified Export Compliance Officer

Experienced legal drafting and confident in reviewing all legal instruments

Extensive knowledge of the application of trade regulations particularly in relation to disruptive technologies such as Cloud and Artificial Intelligence

Familiar with export licensing and knowledge of EAR and ITAR regulations

Experience in internal stakeholder management and engagement

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Effectively plans and manages multiple projects and demanding workload

Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Professional

Familiarity with restricted party screening
