MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Performs all maintenance and repairs to port associated mobile equipment and executes testing of mechanical components on machines, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment under guidance from workshop supervisor.

• Performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
• Identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
• Provides user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing crane with regards to installation, upgrades and enhancement.
• Responsible for the efficient and safe methods of work in the port and around workshops.
• Provides servicing and repairing port ship to shore cranes, Rubber Tyres gantry cranes and rail mounted gantry cranes and associated equipment.
