Design & Development: Develop and design mechanical systems, products, and components, ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards.
CAD Modeling & Simulation: Use 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed models and assemblies. Perform simulations to analyze performance, durability, and feasibility.
Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes to evaluate design functionality, quality, and performance. Analyze results and make design improvements as needed.
Manufacturing Support: Work with manufacturing teams to transition designs from prototype to production, ensuring proper manufacturing processes are followed.
Technical Documentation: Prepare clear and accurate technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and manuals.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical engineers, product designers, quality control) to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects.
Quality Control: Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and identify areas for improvement in existing products.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during the product lifecycle, offering effective solutions for design, assembly, or operational challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation in design and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Experience: Proven experience (X+ years) in mechanical design, product development, or a relevant industry.
Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Experience with mechanical analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). Knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, and mechanics of materials. Familiar with manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, 3D printing). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
Certifications: [Optional] Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in relevant fields is a plus
