· MEP Manager reports to the Management and liaises with all other departmental heads.
· Ability to expedite fit-out projects in strict accordance with project specifications.
· Proficient in Detailed MEP Designs.
· Conduct MEP Design validation and approvals and carry out value engineering tasks when required.
· Monitor and control all installations through administrative direction of on-site staff and ensure all fit-out projects are built safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining a high quality.
· Represent Company in meetings and design workshops as per project requirements.
· Maintain department's quality systems and processes in order to deliver a quality product to the Client at project completion.
· Co-ordination and implementation of Client requirements and specifications.
· Conduct and manage project closeout procedures, carry out commissioning of all MEP installations, production of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties and certificates, local bond releases, final inspections, and facilitate occupancy.
· Assume additional responsibilities as directed by Management.
· Manage all MEP tender & proposal management, quality control, engineering and technical proposal preparation & final review prior tender submission to Clients.
· Contribute to pre-construction activities including estimating, value engineering, and constructability review.
· The ability to create, maintain and manage fit-out programs and schedules.
· Undertake dilapidation inspections and communicate any concerns on the project prior commencing fit-out activities.
· The ability to carry out a gap analysis on available MEP provisions and future demands prior commencing any fit-out activities.
· Prepare and issue all technical clarifications during tender to the Client.
· Ability to conduct fault finding on all MEP systems and provide technical solutions for immediate rectification.
· Conduct planning, organize and manage the successful delivery of multiple fit-out projects simultaneously.
· Ensure filing and records of MEP related documentation is maintained in conjunction with the document controller.
· Prepare, review and approval method statements and risk assessments to ensure all staff are following safe working practice at all times.
· Preparations of all shop drawings, material samples and material submissions against project specification.
· Advise on all issues regarding authority submissions and ensure that the appropriate documentation and information is submitted to receive building permit and all other local authority approvals.
· Conduct risk workshops and report on risks associated with MEP activities or general project related matters to the Project Director.
