· Develop and maintain formal procedures and policies for the Projects Department, covering all aspects of how
the unit operates and how projects are planned and executed.
· To develop and agree departmental objectives with the Operations Director.
· Leading teams in the safe delivery of projects and identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.
· Provides oversight of program implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes
related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development
and monitoring, commercial savings, execution of project plans, and project performance.
· Establishes, assigns, and adjusts work methods and procedures to meet schedules using knowledge of capacities and capabilities of personnel and equipment.
· Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through managerial processes.
· Build, development and implement SOP’s, guidelines, policies and procedures in your department based on previous experience and past project involvements.
· Create and maintain good relations with clients, consultants, staff as well as any other stakeholders.
· Attending and reporting in senior management meetings.
· Driving and facilitating project and site meetings.
· Resolving problems and implementing improvements in the business.
· Arrange staff and supervision on a weekly basis in accordance with project and programme requirements.
· Ensure site safety and security.
· Devise and implement site policies and procedures.
· Coordinate regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
· Handle emergencies appropriately and in accordance with established procedures; prepare and file accident reports.
Prevent interruptions and fines by enforcing and fulfilling codes.
· Supervise and evaluate staff; complete employee reviews; see to accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets are kept; provide positive direction to motivate quality performance; discipline personnel when necessary and appropriate.
Fulfil the role of mentor as and when required.
· Accountable for delivery against agreed commercial and service targets and for the effectiveness and
efficiency of Project delivery.
· Creates the schedule of all required surveys, permits, licenses, utilities; coordinates applications submissions with respective partners/authorities and maintains a program for tracking progress.
· Plans and coordinates, with the Operations Director the fit out tendering process from initial proposals, through interview/presentations and negotiations to secure final appointment.
· Conducts monthly reviews to ensure accountability of all project activities as well as the
accurate and timely reporting of financial deliverables and obligations.
· Ensure great Client management and liaison is applied at all times.
· Set project goals and oversee projects to completion; schedule and track assignments.
· Liaise with Operations Manager regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions.
· Completing records for site reports.
Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction
· Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the construction programme.
· Schedule, control and monitor all materials on a weekly basis.
Maintains responsibility for the correct stock levels of repair or replacement parts.
