Pipeline Welding Specialist

Job location: Qatar Onshore

Contract Duration: 3 yrs. with possible extension

Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirements:

.

• Bachelors engineering degree/diploma in related fields.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience as materials / welding engineering lead, in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
• Experience working on subsea and onshore pipeline systems.
• Provide with welding engineering support for Offshore Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, project materials, welding specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and to provide Functional Safety design support to pipeline engineering manager ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standards.
• Provide extensive knowledge and understanding on the requirements of ECPI, communicating and efficiently translating Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor.
• Collaborate across disciplines (including Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Umbilical’s, HSSE and Risk), and monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
• Good knowledge of materials, welding engineering, subsea, onshore pipeline, and mechanical equipment.
