Job Title: Procurement Engineer
Location: UAE and overseas as required
Salary: 5000-7000 AED per month
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer to manage all procurement activities from start to end in response to client inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. They should be capable of effectively coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to meet client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client inquiries and specifications to determine procurement requirements, including materials, equipment, and services needed for project execution.
- Develop procurement strategies and plans to fulfill client requirements, considering factors such as cost, quality, delivery schedule, and project timelines.
- Identify potential suppliers, solicit quotations, and evaluate proposals to select the most suitable vendors for procurement contracts.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements that meet project objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
- Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of goods and services and resolution of any delivery delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, systems, and vendor relationships to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement roles, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes from start to end, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and contract law.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in procurement documentation and contract management.
- Familiarity with international procurement regulations and customs procedures is desirable.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required for supplier meetings, negotiations, and site visits.
