JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Manages overall purchasing efforts to assure consistent, economical and timely flow of both purchased and raw materials to support the manufacturing efforts of the facility to meet the customer's needs and expectations by performing duties personally, or through subordinate supervisors and/or support personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily management and supervision of personnel.
• Working closely with Quality, Production, Warehouse and Finance to ensure performance and continual improvement objectives are met.
• Ensure lean practices are followed in achieving cost management objectives and developing strong materials/purchasing/supplier development teams.
• Management of supplier performance, with an eye toward continuous improvement in existing practices.
• Implement production control systems which are consistent with lean materials flow systems, including pull systems, line side delivery and level scheduling.
• Set goals, coach and hold accountable materials direct reports.
• Coach and encourage direct reports to benchmark and implement material best practices to promote continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement effective and corrective actions when materials issues are identified.
• Manage Supplier Terms and Conditions, pricing and delivery in accordance with Company and Corporate directives and guidelines.
• Cost improvement initiatives and goal deployment actions for the Procurement Department.
• Prepare and maintain reports and analysis corresponding with purchasing matrix of the company.
• Monitor ISO files properly with evaluations & process done on time as per policy.
• Prepare reports for budgetary requirements on monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Coordinate with other departments for a smooth flow of work and material availability on time.
• To ensure that all purchase orders are as per company and ISO procedures and provide benchmark for prices via knocking the door of local and international supplier and bring more than 3 quotations per requisition.
• To ensure that all sales orders maintain proper procurement process ensuring all new material availability, especially, for projects like Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) sales order and related material bookings.
• To ensure that all proper procurement documentation and invoices are submitted on time to the Finance Department with proper control over prices and quantities.
• Comply with the purchasing process of the company & propose enhancement to management upon implementation & work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor degree in any Technical discipline.
• 10 Years’ relevant experience in total Supply chain.

Required Skills :

• Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite and Material Management SAP system.
• Purchasing Materials Management experience within large manufacturing & assembly environment.
• Experience in implementing lean production techniques in a manufacturing environment and Six Sigma Greenbelt status preferred.
• Experience with management of multiple supply base, internal and external required.
• Experience in formal negotiations, and leading cost improvement programs Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated successful ability to perform accurate work under the pressures of tight schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with suppliers.
• Work requires willingness to work of a flexible schedule.
