The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring that all engineering functions are properly executed and aligned with project objectives. This role involves coordinating project tasks, managing technical teams, overseeing the quality and safety of work, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required technical standards.
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate the technical and engineering teams, ensuring the effective allocation of resources and timely completion of tasks.
Ensure that all engineering activities comply with the relevant industry standards, company policies, and project requirements.
Manage the preparation and review of engineering documents, reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project needs.
Provide technical support to the project team, addressing engineering issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure the smooth flow of information and the timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor and control project costs and schedules, identifying potential delays or cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
Perform technical evaluations and risk assessments to mitigate potential engineering issues or hazards during the project.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Process Engineering) or a related discipline.
Professional certifications or membership with recognized engineering bodies (e.g., APEGA, PE, etc.) are preferred.

Strong project management and leadership skills.
In-depth technical knowledge in relevant engineering disciplines and project execution.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
Proficient in using MS Office Suite, project management software, and engineering tools.
