Perform inspections of welds and mechanical components following engineering drawings specifications and industry standards using visual dimensional and NDT methods
Verify welding procedures WPS and welder qualifications WPQR PQR ensuring compliance with project requirements
Review and approve welding documentation inspection reports material certifications and NDT reports for accuracy and completeness
Monitor welding and mechanical assembly activities identify deviations and initiate corrective actions
Use inspection tools and NDT equipment such as calipers micrometers weld gauges UT RT PT MT to assess quality and integrity
Collaborate with welders engineers and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve welding quality and efficiency
Prepare and maintain inspection reports records and documentation on results non conformances and corrective actions
Participate in project meetings provide updates identify risks and propose solutions
Conduct audits of welding procedures and practices ensuring adherence to quality management system QMS
