Job Description

1. Performs the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.
2. Performs duties in the Endocrinology department, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.
3. Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies.
4. Performs endocrinal procedures – dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient.
5. To provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise.
6. To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.
7. Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.
8. Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the services (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review)
9. Oversees and monitors and participates in QA programs as requested by the Quality Office.
10. Prepares and submits to the Medical Administrator for approval the daily work schedule, weekend schedules, ER on-call schedule after working hours, personal leaves and vacation.
11. To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.
