Job Summary:

The Senior IT Business Application Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of business applications critical to the organization's daily operations. This role involves understanding business processes, working with stakeholders, and providing technology solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. The Senior IT Business Application Specialist also leads a team of IT professionals and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal utilization of business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Management:
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of business applications to meet organizational needs.
• Ensure that applications are secure, scalable, and accessible, while optimizing their performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges, translating them into effective technology solutions.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers, ensuring seamless application integration and support.

Team Leadership:
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of IT professionals responsible for supporting and maintaining business applications.
• Oversee their work, set priorities, and ensure timely issue resolution.

Analysis and Documentation:
• Analyze and document business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and automation.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for applications, including user manuals and system configuration guides.

Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Oversee the testing and quality assurance of applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and usability standards.
• Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and issues promptly.

Training and Support:
• Provide training and support to end-users, addressing questions and issues related to business applications.
• Develop and conduct user training programs to enhance application adoption and proficiency.

Change Management:
• Lead change management initiatives related to application updates or new implementations, ensuring a smooth transition for end-users.

Security and Compliance:
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Stay updated on security threats and emerging technologies to proactively mitigate risks.

Requirements

Requirements
• 3 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) focused on business applications in a medium to large organization.
• Experience in IT project management and information system business plans.
• Education - Bachelor’s degree in Information System Management, Computer Sciences, or IT Engineering.
• Professional certification in PMP or ITIL V3.
• Technical Skills - Industry Knowledge, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Customer Service, Systems and infrastructure, Application Architecture and development, Information Governance, Procurement Process, Business Process Mapping.
