Strategic:
· Develop and implement strategic plans for procurement activities to support construction project objectives and optimize cost efficiency.
· Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to develop procurement strategies that align with project goals, timelines, and technical requirements.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements, risk mitigation, and cost-saving initiatives in procurement activities.
· Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement strategies and adapt to changing circumstances.
Financial:
· Develop and manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans for construction projects.
· Analyze pricing, negotiate contracts, and establish terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to maximize cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
· Monitor procurement costs and expenditures, identify variances, and implement cost control measures as necessary to ensure projects remain within budget.
· Evaluate supplier and subcontractor performance and conduct audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and pricing agreements.
Technical:
· Apply technical expertise in procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and technical evaluation.
· Review technical specifications and requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
· Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline processes, track supplier and subcontractor performance, and manage contract documentation.
· Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement-related technical matters, including technical assessments, design reviews, and quality control.
