The Teaching Assistant will:
1.Build productive, respectful, and trusting relationships with students that foster engagement, motivation, and a sense of belonging.
2.Support teachers to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learn-centered environment.
3.Support teachers in supervising and monitoring students’ participation in activities, engagement with resources, and achievement of learning outcomes.
4.Collaborate with teachers and relevant support staff to implement differentiated learning materials and/or assessment tasks to ensure students’ equitable access to the curriculum.
5.Work with individual students or groups of students to support their progress and achievement, under guidance of teachers.
6.Participate in discussions about student progress with teachers, support staff, and other relevant stakeholders.
7.Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and colleagues to support effective teaching and learning.
8.Provide support to teachers in the preparation of teaching resources and materials and upkeep of student records.
9.Supervise students upon arrival and dismissal from school, during break times, events, and school trips, under guidance of teachers.
10.Engage in individual and collaborative professional learning and relevant networks to deepen understanding of how to enhance student engagement, learning, and wellbeing.
11.Undertake any related tasks that are deemed relevant to this position.
