Kafka Administration & Event Streams: Manage Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, and security. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices. Experience in Applying Fix pack and upgrade. OpenShift Administration: OpenShift deployment Management Oversee the entire deployment lifecycle on Cloud Pak for integrations, from development to production. Integrate various tools (such as Nexus, Argo CD, etc.) into the CI/CD pipelines with GitLab to ensure consistency, reliability, and speed of deployments. Manage Argo CD to automate Kubernetes deployments, providing GitOps workflows. IBM MQ/RDQM Administrator: Install and configure IBM MQ and RDQM across primary and secondary nodes. Set up queue managers, listeners, and channels according to design specifications. Configure RDQM for failover and replication between nodes. Implement SSL/TLS certificates for secure channel communication. Manage user authentication and authorization policies. Troubleshooting & Autoscaling: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application performance, system reliability, and infrastructure(OCP). Implement autoscaling policies for applications to handle dynamic traffic loads and optimize resource usage. Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or areas for optimization in the deployment lifecycle. Providing 2nd layer 24/7 application support. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Administrator with expertise in SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 platforms. The candidate will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and support of SAS environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role involves close collaboration with infrastructure, database, and application teams to provide a stable and optimized SAS ecosystem for enterprise-level data processing and analytics.Key Responsibilities: SAS Administration & Maintenance • Maintain SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 environments on Linux/Unix. • Administer SAS Metadata Server, Application Server, Mid-Tier components, CAS server, and microservices. • Perform user and group administration, access management, and security role assignments. • Manage and maintain connectivity with external databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL, etc.)Monitoring & Support • Monitor system health, job execution, CAS performance, and server resource utilization (CPU, memory, I/O). • Provide L2/L3 production support for SAS jobs and environment issues. • Analyze and resolve issues related to authentication, job failures, and performance bottlenecks. • Support business teams in troubleshooting and provide guidance on platform usageBackup, Recovery & Migration • Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for SAS environments. • Manage deployment backups, restores, and tenant administration in Viya. • Support migration and upgrades between SAS versions and platforms. • Apply hotfixes, patches, and security updates as required.Performance & Optimization • Tune SAS servers, CAS workers, and system configurations for maximum efficiency. • Monitor long-running jobs and optimize execution through resource allocation and scheduling. • Work with DBAs to optimize database connections and query performance.Collaboration & Documentation • Partner with infrastructure and security teams for server hardening, SSL configuration, LDAP/AD/Kerberos/SAML integration.• Maintain up-to-date SOPs, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation. • Provide knowledge transfer, training, and mentoring to junior administrators and support staffRequired Skills & Experience: • 6+ years of experience in SAS Platform Administration (SAS 9.4 & Viya 3.5). • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting. • Hands-on experience with CAS administration, Viya microservices, and Kubernetes/Docker (preferred). • Expertise in authentication & authorization (LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth). • Experience with backup/restore, DR setup, and multi-tenant administration. • Knowledge of network, SSL certificates, and security policies. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a production environmentGood-to-Have Skills: • Exposure to SAS Viya on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Understanding of monitoring tools • Experience in capacity planning and performance benchmarking.
