Job Objectives :- Plan, assign and execute insulation & cladding jobs as instructed by Sr. Foremen/ Supervisor as per layouts/ drawings, meeting schedule, quality and HSE requirements.Day- to-day operations:-Lead insulation works on board ships and in the workshop.Support various types of cladding and insulation works.Coordinate with project team for identifying the job scope and timely highlighting of discrepancies from owner specifications / tenders.Prepare daily time sheets for the team and make sure overtime hours are controlled well.Ensure optimum use of resources and adequate control on wastage of materials/consumables.Prepare job turn over for next shift and prepare daily progress reports for job done under his supervision.Liaise with other discipline Foremen / Supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.Assist the Senior Foreman and Supervisors in planning activities and ensure that all the resource and manpower planning is conducted to meet project requirements.Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.Work as a team leader responsible for development / motivation of sub-ordinates, on the job training and performance appraisal of the team members.Technical competencies:Must be fully familiar with various types of cladding and insulations.Ability to understand, read and interpret drawings.Select and use appropriate tools, equipment, materials and machinesSelect and use appropriate measuring / testing devicesApply knowledge of appropriate engineering principles, techniques and procedures
