Document Code: QMS-RM-F03JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE Senior EstimatorDEPARTMENT EstimationREPORTS TO General ManagerQUALIFICATIONGraduate in Civil Engineering (or) Diploma in Civil Engineer with 6-year experience in Estimation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSenior estimators accurately estimate the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment required for aconstruction (or) maintenance project. They perform cost analyses, determine the duration of a project, procurevendors and subcontractors, and ensure that resources are managed and deadlines are met.Responsibilities:1. BOQ preparation, determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.2. Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications.3. Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.4. Managing and prepare the pre-qualification and pre-bid technical submissions.5. Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.6. Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets, supplier and sub-contractor prices are submitted to management for review before a bid deadline.7. Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status.8. Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.9. Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.10. Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required.
