1. Treasury & Cash Management:

  • Monitor bank accounts, collect details from banks, and liaise with businesses for updates.
  • Arrange fund transfers between company accounts as needed.
  • Handle banking correspondence for Letters of Credit (LC), Letters of Guarantee (LG), and other instruments.
  • Create and release approved payments via the bank portal.
  • Manage cheque collection from customers and process inward remittances.

2. General Accounting, Fixed Assets & Reconciliations:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and UAE tax regulations.
  • Post accounting entries, perform general ledger reconciliations, and ensure proper account classifications.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and intercompany balances.
  • Oversee Fixed Assets (FA) accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairment reviews.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, fixed assets, and key financial accounts.
  • Collaborate with businesses to clear discrepancies and outstanding reconciliation items before closing.

3. Accruals & Month-End Closing:

  • Record and review accruals, prepayments, and adjustments for accurate financial reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring strict compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and review journal entries with proper documentation and accuracy.

4. Reporting & Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations in all accounting and reporting activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

5. Other Accounting & Treasury Responsibilities:

  • Verify documents processed by the Cashier, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Process vouchers and invoices, assisting businesses as needed.
  • Provide leave cover for colleagues, ensuring smooth handovers before and after absence.
  • Support additional accounting and treasury tasks as directed by the Reporting Manager.
  • Prepare periodic reports as required by Finance Management.
