Job Title: Accounts Manager – FMCG (KSA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager with expertise in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry and a proven track record in managing financial operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The ideal candidate will bring deep accounting and financial expertise to oversee and enhance the company’s financial health, compliance, and strategic planning. This role requires hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to management for cost optimization.
- Manage financial planning to ensure the company achieves short-term and long-term objectives.
2. Accounts Payable/Receivable and Reconciliations:
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure timely processing of invoices, collections, and payments.
- Conduct regular reconciliation of bank accounts, suppliers, and customer ledgers to maintain accurate financial records.
3. Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian taxation laws (Zakat, VAT, WHT) and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Stay updated on changes to KSA financial regulations and advise management on implications for the business.
4. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Monitor daily cash flows and optimize working capital to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
- Establish strong relationships with banks for efficient treasury operations and credit facilities.
5. Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the accounts team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to enhance team skills.
6. Financial Systems and Process Improvements:
- Implement and improve ERP systems for efficient financial management.
- Develop and document financial policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are robust and effective.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
- Professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or ACCA (preferred).
Experience:
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in the FMCG industry in KSA.
- Strong knowledge of KSA-specific financial practices, , including taxation, compliance, and local regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control mechanisms.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with stakeholders.
- Leadership and team-building capabilities.
