To manage the daily operations of the carpentry workshop, ensuring projects are executed with high efficiency, on schedule, and within budget. This includes guiding the team and delivering high-quality outputs that align with approved designs.
�️ Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution Monitoring
- Prepare accurate delivery schedules and meticulously track project costs.
- Convert engineering blueprints into clear execution instructions for the workshop manager and technicians.
- Allocate human resources and materials based on project priorities.
2. Workshop Workflow Management
- Direct the workshop manager to assign tasks according to the daily production plan.
- Monitor work progress on-site and ensure adherence to the timeline.
- Resolve any conflicts between projects to ensure each project is delivered on time.
- Ensure materials and equipment are prepared in advance for each stage.
3. Monitoring and Reporting
- Submit regular reports to management on the status of each project (completion percentage, obstacles, needs).
- Monitor product quality and ensure conformity with drawings and specifications.
- Review team performance and evaluate efficiency in execution.
4. Cost Control and Efficiency Improvement
- Reduce waste in time and materials by optimizing processes.
- Monitor consumption and raise purchase requests based on actual needs.
- Suggest continuous improvements in workflow or manufacturing methods.
5. Coordination with Other Departments
- Follow up on modifications with the design department before and during execution.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Ensure outputs are ready for delivery in terms of quality and finishing.
6. Daily On-Site Supervision
- Maintain a daily presence in the workshop and on field sites to monitor execution.
- Intervene quickly to resolve any technical or organizational issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing project management or carpentry workshop management.
- High proficiency in reading and analyzing technical blueprints.
- Strong skills in leadership, organization, and decision-making.
- Proficient in using project monitoring software (such as Excel or project management programs).
- Ability to accurately calculate quantities and price projects.
- Proficiency in reading and implementing blueprints using AutoCAD.
- Valid UAE driving license (essential condition).
- Strong communication skills with technicians and management.
- A leadership and organized personality, capable of working under pressure.
