· Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects by analyzing architectural plans, specifications, and other relevant documents. This includes estimating the costs of materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other resources.
· Quantity Take-offs: Perform precise quantity take-offs from blueprints and design documents to determine material and labor requirements for each project.
· Bid Preparation: Compile and submit competitive bid proposals, ensuring all necessary information is included, such as pricing, timeframes, and exclusions.
· Market Research: Stay updated on market conditions, material pricing, and labor rates to ensure that estimates are accurate and reflect current trends.
· Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure the most cost-effective solutions are utilized in project estimates.
· Project Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks or uncertainties in projects and provide contingency recommendations to mitigate them.
· Collaboration with Project Team: Work closely with project managers, architects, designers, and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals, schedules, and client expectations.
· Cost Tracking & Adjustments: Review and adjust estimates as projects progress, including re-estimation in case of scope changes or new project information.
· Value Engineering: Propose alternative materials or construction methods to provide cost savings or enhance project value while maintaining quality standards.
· Client Interaction: Present estimates to clients and provide explanations on cost breakdowns, answering any queries related to project costs and scope.
· Document Management: Maintain accurate records of estimates, project documents, and correspondence for future reference and audit purposes.
