Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai. Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and executing recipes under the supervision of senior chefs. Ensure portion control and presentation standards.
- Support Kitchen Operations: Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver timely, high-quality dishes, helping to maintain workflow during peak hours.
- Maintain Hygiene and Safety Standards: Adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines, keeping workstations clean and organized.
- Inventory Management: Help with stock rotation, checking the freshness of ingredients, and notifying senior chefs of low stock items.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions and learn various cooking techniques to enhance your culinary knowledge.
- Equipment Use and Maintenance: Use kitchen equipment safely and ensure it is cleaned and properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Culinary school or relevant hospitality certifications are an advantage.
- Skills: Basic cooking and knife-handling skills, ability to follow recipes, and a willingness to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Able to work long shifts and perform tasks requiring physical effort, such as standing for extended periods.
