Experience
1. Coordinating with the retained lawyers and providing effective advice to the Group Compliance Manager & subsidiary managers on the relevant law (e.g. UAE Commercial Business Law, Labour law, etc.).
2. Ensuring to coordinate on regular basis the Group Compliance Manager and/or subsidiary managers up to date on the amendments / new laws introduced in UAE related to the company.
3. Drafting & reviewing of any legal document (e.g., MOA, MOU, AOA, etc.) of the Company and its subsidiaries by coordinating with the retained lawyers in compliance with the UAE law & regulations upon receiving approval from Group Compliance Manager and/or CEO.
4. Drafting & reviewing of employments contracts by coordinating with Group Compliance Manager before interacting with the Group Human Resources Manager and/ or it’s subsidiary Human Resources Managers in compliance with the UAE law.
5. Creating and managing effective plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
6. Reviewing alongside Group Compliance Manager with the retained lawyers, any contract provided by the company & it’s subsidiaries employee.
7. Ensuring to receive updates on any legal cases of the Company & it’s subsidiaries from the retained lawyers.
8. Maintaining Company’s & it’s subsidiaries original agreements (e.g. MOA, SHA AOA, etc.) in both hard and soft copies. All soft copies should be stored on the shared filing system.
9. Coordinating with the Company & it’s subsidiaries accountants for any case related to company (e.g. staff loans, etc.) and informing the Group Compliance Manager, and/or CEO & subsidiary manager.
10. Coordinating with the IP Attorneys (Trademark) for the Company & it’s subsidiaries once informed by the Group Compliance Manager and/or CEO.
11. Ensuring that all legal documents given by the Company & it’s subsidiaries staff are checked and verified before being taken to the CEO for execution and stamping purposes.
12. Ensuring to follow the Standard Operating Procedures as set by the Company and following any versions introduced by the Company & it’s subsidiaries.
13. Other roles and responsibilities to be assigned by the Group Compliance Manager and/or CEO.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field. Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies.
2. 5 + years of UAE experience in a compliance or paralegal role.Experience in Complaince Assessment and Reporting,Business Set Ups, Brokerage or Auctions, Anti Money Laundering, KYC Platforms and internal assessments. commercial contracts etc.
3. Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
4. Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
5. Brilliant oral and written communication skills.
6. Excellent in English and Arabic translation.
7. Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
8. UAE driving license required
