Roles & Responsibilities

Estimate the overall project budget, comprising of materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor services, permits, and other expenses,

Review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents.

Obtain price quotes and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating and negotiating pricing.

Maintain a database of historical cost data to assist in future estimations and benchmarking.

Perform quantity takeoffs by identifying and quantifying the materials and resources required for the project.

Ensure the review of drawings, inspect sites, and develop detailed scopes of work and quotes for every project/job

Prepare estimation and project summaries for management review

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.

5 to 10 years in a Civil marine construction with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the estimation function.

Extensive experience in civil marine cost estimation, preferably in large-scale projects.

Understanding of industry standards and best practices in civil marine engineering.

Strong AutoCAD experience.
