- Mechanical Design:
Design mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings to communicate design specifications.
Conduct design calculations and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
Design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost-effectiveness. - Prototyping and Testing:
Develop prototypes of mechanical systems and components for testing.
Conduct tests to evaluate the functionality, durability, and performance of designs.
Analyze test data and make design improvements as necessary. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand design requirements and ensure that designs align with project goals.
Participate in design reviews, providing feedback and incorporating changes based on team input.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing processes. - Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and manuals.
Document design changes and maintain records of design iterations for future reference.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and engineering.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative design solutions to enhance product quality and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues in collaboration with the production and quality assurance teams. - Project Management Support:
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Support the project management team in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
