Responsible for
robust estimation processes to deliver best in quality and cost competitive
bids to make Sales successful and enable achievement of HBS regional sales
targets.
Working within the
Proposal & Estimation (P&E) team, as an Estimator you will work with multiple
functions like supply chain, finance, contracts/legal, and you will be
responsible of the delivery of the high-quality Technical Solutions & Bid
Proposals on time, and in line with Honeywell standards of quality.
You will be
responsible to manage multiple RFP enquiries (direct invitation to Honeywell
via Sales and/or Business Development Teams) or bids open in response to open
tenders. You will also be required to manage the bid process within the
guidelines established by Honeywell bidding processes and procedures.
To be successful
you will need to be very well organized, with sound project management skills,
able to work within a team and across functional organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Estimation of BMS, Fire, Security packages - Input study,
generation of RFI s, equipment take-off, device selection, Solution
design, Controller and Server Sizing, preparation of BOQ costing, cable
schedule.
• Understanding of ICT Systems like Active, Passive and Cybersecurity
Solutions shall be added advantage.
• Proposals- Studying specifications and arrive at inclusion/
exclusion list, qualifications/ assumptions/ deviations along with the
technical proposal.
• Technical submittals - Preparation of system architecture, floor
risers, specification compliance etc. as per regional requirements.
• Commercial exposure - Vendor management, taxations.
• Contributing and tracking the regional technical preferences on
estimations, awareness of the product ranges, ability to apply knowledge
and understanding of Honeywell products to develop solutions that meet
customer requirements.
• Performing quality checks for the jobs.
• Contribute towards establishing & standardization of new
processes for cost optimization & cycle time reduction.
• Sound Knowledge of business processes and systems.
• Provide competitive insight from past opportunities and apply
"lessons learned" to the assigned opportunities to generate
effective counter strategies. Take Lead Role in Design & Estimation of
all System Proposals that get approved in the BNB and any other emergency
bids.
• Provide accurate technical solutions for all Security System, ELV
Bid Proposals.
• Should be able to size & select the Servers, Storages along
with needed Calculations.
• Ability to propose secure LAN, WAN, VPNs for the Hardware deployed
at one site or across cluster of buildings in one location or different
cities.
• Take Lead
Role in chartering L Review Calls for all the Bids handled. Work Closely
with Honeywell COE (Center of Excellence) Estimation Team based in Pune
and TAC Team in Bangalore and obtain TRR approvals in a timely manner
prior to the L Review Calls for bidding.
• Work closely with the Project Operations Team and obtain inputs for
enhancing solutions proposed.
• Assist the P&E Leader in Preparing Bid Programs for all
FAS/Security/BMS etc. Bids.
• Assistance with the creating highly professional technical and
commercial proposals suitable for presentation to the highest levels of
management.
• Reviewing scope for all opportunities and proposals and deliver on
technical compliance statements.
• Work closely with sales & business development teams in
understanding and assessing customer s requirements.
• Selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment,
materials, and services that will deliver the highest value to the
customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives.
• Must have the ability to multitask and produce desired results in a
deadline driven environment. Proposals include technical scope, commercial estimates,
deliverables, schedules and terms and conditions and other variables to
meet customer requests and expectations. All proposal work must be
completed according to Honeywell professional standards.
• Train other members of the P&E team on the standards of
estimation followed in KSA by arranging and conducting Share & Learn
Sessions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• BE in related discipline preferably Instrumentation & Control,
Electronics & Electrical Engineering etc.
• Work experience in relevant field Min 3-8 years.
• Exposure to BMS, Fire, Security and ELV Systems.
• Flexible Job working hours to suit regional requirements.
• Working hours flexibility to meet deadlines.
• Pre-sales process knowledge.
• Ability to manage jobs and/ or projects to standards, budgets.
• Value engineered approach in all the deliverables.
• MS office (Excel & word) competency.
