The Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems, networks, and services. The role supports the planning, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure projects aligned with the clients' strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and networking components.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 environments.
Monitor system performance and availability and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Perform regular system updates, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
Support cybersecurity initiatives by implementing security best practices, firewall configurations, and vulnerability management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new implementations, upgrades, and system integrations.
Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
Provide second and third-level technical support for escalated IT issues.
Participate in procurement and vendor management activities related to infrastructure hardware and services.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
