The Manager – Electrical Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing all electrical systems within the foundry. This includes planning and executing maintenance strategies to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of electrical equipment. The role also involves managing a team of electricians and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Management:Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems, ensuring maximum uptime.
   Oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and other foundry-specific machinery.
   Ensure all electrical installations are compliant with safety regulations and standards.
   
2. Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of electricians and electrical technicians, ensuring proper delegation and timely completion of tasks.
   Monitor and manage team performance, providing training and skill development where necessary.
   Coordinate with other maintenance departments, including mechanical and automation, to ensure seamless operation.
   
3. Planning & Execution:Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure effective execution without disrupting production.
   Analyze downtime data and propose solutions to reduce future occurrences.
   Plan for new installations, upgrades, or retrofits of electrical systems to meet operational needs.
   
4. Safety & Compliance:Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
   Conduct regular safety audits and ensure the electrical department follows best practices in terms of equipment handling and safety measures.
   
5. Budgeting & Reporting:Manage the electrical maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
   Prepare and submit regular maintenance reports to senior management, highlighting key issues, resolution timelines, and future plans.
   
6. Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in the electrical maintenance processes and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
   Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, such as Kaizen or Six Sigma, to drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
