Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP systems, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate input into the project schedule, including timelines for procurement, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems. Create and update Gantt charts and project timelines using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Monitor project progress, track delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
Resource Management: Collaborate with procurement and subcontracting teams to ensure timely availability of MEP materials, equipment, and labor. Estimate and plan resource requirements (e.g., manpower, equipment, materials) for each phase of the MEP works. Identify potential resource constraints and develop solutions to mitigate delays.
Coordination & Collaboration: Coordinate with site engineers, architects, and other discipline engineers to ensure MEP designs and installations are aligned with overall project requirements. Attend and participate in project meetings to provide updates on MEP progress and schedule adherence. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of MEP works. Manage change orders related to MEP works and ensure that schedule adjustments are reflected accurately.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, delays, and critical issues. Maintain detailed records of project schedules, resource allocations, and any changes to the original plan. Develop and maintain risk management plans for MEP systems, identifying and mitigating potential project risks. Ensure that all MEP planning documentation is compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all MEP installations are completed according to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Review design and technical drawings to ensure they are consistent with the project schedule and requirements. Oversee quality control procedures and perform regular inspections to ensure MEP installations meet quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance and suggest improvements for future projects. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in MEP systems and planning
