· Requires demonstrated ability to effectively lead the Planning function for a Business Unit.
· Demonstrate leadership ability to establish policies and guidelines to establish appropriate practices for the organization.
· Coach, mentor, assist, and assign tasks to Planning team as well as provide support to other planners throughout the division.
· Review outstanding tasks with team members and manage priorities and update project / client with any changes.
· Conduct annual Performance Management Process for all project controls team members assigned to the project.
· Develop, maintain and update Project Plan and procedures outlining methodologies and responsibilities while ensuring alignment with Flint Facility Construction processes and procedures.
· Conduct review sessions on project status with project management and / or client and highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions.
· Lead the development of all reports set forth in the client business requirements as well as indicated in the corporate reporting procedures
· Review and analyse project program and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports.
· Review and assess (as required) raw data that comes from project automated systems.
· Develops and maintains Business Unit specifications and procedures.
· Will serve in a project review capacity as required to assist project teams to achieve project objectives.
· Works with management to correctly identify staffing needs.
· Ensures that employee performance issues are documented and addressed.
· May participate in tracking overhead cost for the Business Unit.
· Execute multi-project progress reporting. Extracts, analyses, and reports on meaningful data from automated systems.
· Investigates programmatic causes of variances between estimated, committed and actual amounts and recommends solutions or recovery plans.
· Works with corporate functional leader to implement cornerstone systems.
· Validates that Project Control PEP'S are being implemented throughout the Company. Coordinates, funds management and reporting.
· Monitors, analyses and develops strategies for profit maximization. Implements Business Unit standards for change control.
· Ensure that all Project Controls activities are in accordance with Project Controls plan and set Project Procedures and Job Instruction; Including preparation of schedules, cost reports, cash flow and variance analysis
· Review and approve team members’ timesheets and submit to administration. Ensuring that the appropriate overtime approvals have been complete for upcoming overtime, these approvals are to be submitted with the corresponding timesheets
· Supervision and quality control of planning, cost, procurement and progress measurement staff for overall completion of project objectives. Providing leadership in the selection, appraisal coaching, mentoring, training, and assistance in resolution of problems.
· Monitor deviations from contractual obligations and put up change orders to seniors.
Assisting in conducting periodic progress meetings.
