Purpose of the Job

To purchase good vehicles from the local market.

Job Accountabilities

· Responsible for acquiring preowned cars through, direct contacts, generated leads, off site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers or any other available avenues.

· Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensures timely processing of all purchases.

· Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market.

· Understand market tendencies and the changes to the trends in all geographic areas.

· Test drive and inspect vehicles before purchase to confirm quality & condition.

· Develop asset management controls and measures to reduce idle time and increase efficiencies.

· Maintains purchase orders, and related purchasing records; maintains files and records of current and potential suppliers and prices.

· Regularly review and modify approach to fleet sourcing based on changing marketplace and organizational dynamics/strategy.

· Plan arrangements for the transportation of all vehicles purchased to their respective branches.

· Develop a network of sourcing channels within your region to attain company objectives.

· Follow the policies & standard Operating Process of company while procuring vehicles.

· Perform all the activities in compliance with the company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.

· Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.
