Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and services.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide accurate and current information to clients.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
3. Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, market research, and client referrals.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
4. Technical Support and Consultation:
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Work closely with the engineering team to address client concerns and provide solutions.
5. Proposal and Quotation Preparation:
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients.
- Ensure that proposals align with client needs and company capabilities.
6. Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements with clients.
- Work towards closing deals and achieving sales targets.
7. Post-Sales Support:
- Ensure successful delivery and implementation of products or services.
- Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and technical issues.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
9. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop strategies and promotional activities.
- Work with the product development team to communicate customer feedback and product requirements.
10. Travel and Fieldwork:
- Travel to meet with clients and attend industry events or conferences as required.
- Conduct on-site visits to understand client needs and provide solutions.
11. Continuous Learning and Development:
- Participate in training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Stay updated with new developments in the industry and incorporate them into sales strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a technical or engineering-related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
