Reporting to the Area Manager, the Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting the sales team within the store to ensure exceptional customer service, achieve sales targets, and maintain operational efficiency. This role involves overseeing daily sales activities, motivating team members, and ensuring that the store meets its performance objectives. The Sales Supervisor also assists the Area Manager in various operational tasks and acts as the lead in the manager's absence.
OPERATIONAL
▪ Drive sales performance by motivating the team to meet or exceed sales targets. ▪ Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring a visually appealing sales floor and a positive shopping experience
▪ Ensure that the sales floor is well-organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing to attract customers
▪ Assist the Store/Area Manager with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the store
▪ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure product availability
▪ Build strong relationships with customers, offering personalized service and product recommendations and promote customer loyalty programs and encourage repeat business ▪ Handle customer complaints and issues with a focus on satisfactory resolution
▪ Track daily sales performance and report on key metrics to the Store/Area Manager and assist in preparing sales reports for management review ▪ Handle administrative tasks related to sales promotions, special events, and customer outreach initiatives
QUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE
▪ Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.
▪ Monitor and enforce loss prevention policies to minimize theft and shrinkage.
▪ Conduct regular audits of sales and inventory processes to ensure compliance with company standard
TEAM LEADERSHIP
▪ Supervise and guide sales staff, providing training, coaching, and feedback to enhance their performance
▪ Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales staff
▪ Lead daily team meetings to communicate sales goals, promotions, and operational updates
▪ Act as the store lead in the absence of the Store/Area Manager, ensuring that operations run smoothly
▪ Foster a culture of positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork
▪ Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll tasks as needed
