We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Structural QC Inspector with 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. As a Senior Inspector, you will be responsible for leading quality control activities related to structural integrity, overseeing inspection processes, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. You will also mentor and supervise a team of inspectors while collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee structural quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all components (e.g., beams, plates, columns, and steel structures) meet project specifications, international codes (e.g., ASME, API, AWS), and safety requirements.
• Review and approve structural drawings, welding procedures, material certifications, and specifications to ensure full compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct and supervise visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) of structural components to verify their integrity and compliance.
• Provide expert guidance and support to junior inspectors, ensuring high standards of inspection and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor and inspect structural fabrication, assembly, and installation processes, ensuring compliance with approved quality procedures and standards.
• Identify non-conformances or discrepancies in materials or workmanship, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken to resolve issues and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate and liaise with engineers, contractors, and third-party inspectors to address quality-related issues and ensure structural integrity throughout the project.
• Prepare and review detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and provide comprehensive documentation for audits and inspections.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed during fabrication, welding, and installation of structural components.
• Take a leadership role in conducting root cause analysis for any quality issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Act as a subject matter expert in structural quality control, providing advice and recommendations to project management teams.
