Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Planning & Coordination
- Develop and implement logistics plans for efficient material and equipment movement.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Plan and manage on-site storage, ensuring materials are easily accessible.
- Optimize site layout for smooth workflow and minimal congestion.
2. Inventory & Material Management
- Oversee inventory tracking and material usage to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Work closely with the procurement team to schedule deliveries based on project needs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in line with safety standards.
3. Traffic & Transport Management
- Manage vehicle movements on-site to avoid delays and hazards.
- Implement traffic control measures for deliveries and heavy equipment movement.
- Coordinate logistics routes to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
4. Equipment & Workforce Coordination
- Allocate cranes, forklifts, and other machinery as per project requirements.
- Ensure that workers and operators have clear schedules and instructions.
- Collaborate with HR/Admin for worker accommodation and transport if needed.
5. Health, Safety, & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site-specific rules.
- Conduct risk assessments for logistics-related activities.
- Work with the HSE team to implement safety protocols and training.
6. Communication & Reporting
- Maintain daily reports on material movement, deliveries, and site logistics.
- Report delays, issues, or bottlenecks to project management.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth construction operations.
