KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: what are the overall accountabilities for this position
A VRF Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role involves setting up systems according to manufacturer specifications, performing regular inspections and troubleshooting to address any issues, and calibrating systems for optimal performance. The technician must adhere to safety and compliance regulations, maintain accurate records of all service activities, and provide technical support to clients and team members. Effective communication with clients, managing resources, and responding promptly to emergency service requests are also crucial to ensure high levels of system reliability and client satisfaction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: day to day activities
System Installation: Install and set up Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with guidelines.
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of VRF systems, identifying and addressing issues to ensure optimal performance and prevent system failures.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise to clients and team members regarding VRF system operations, performance, and troubleshooting.
System Calibration: Calibrate and adjust VRF systems for efficiency and performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure systems operate within design parameters.
Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to health, safety, and compliance regulations during all installations and maintenance tasks, conducting safety checks and ensuring a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs, providing detailed reports to supervisors and updating system logs as required.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on system performance, and address any concerns or issues related to VRF systems.
Resource Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for VRF system installations and repairs, managing inventory and coordinating with suppliers as needed.
Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and stay updated on the latest VRF technologies and techniques to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency service requests related to VRF systems, providing rapid resolution to minimize downtime and ensure client satisfaction.
Operational Efficiency: Contribute to the improvement of processes and operational efficiencies by identifying areas for enhancement in VRF system installation and maintenance procedures.
