· Requires demonstrated ability to effectively lead the Planning function for a Business Unit.· Demonstrate leadership ability to establish policies and guidelines to establish appropriate practices for the organization.· Coach, mentor, assist, and assign tasks to Planning team as well as provide support to other planners throughout the division.· Review outstanding tasks with team members and manage priorities and update project / client with any changes.· Conduct annual Performance Management Process for all project controls team members assigned to the project.· Develop, maintain and update Project Plan and procedures outlining methodologies and responsibilities while ensuring alignment with Flint Facility Construction processes and procedures.· Conduct review sessions on project status with project management and / or client and highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions.· Lead the development of all reports set forth in the client business requirements as well as indicated in the corporate reporting procedures· Review and analyse project program and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports.· Review and assess (as required) raw data that comes from project automated systems.· Develops and maintains Business Unit specifications and procedures.· Will serve in a project review capacity as required to assist project teams to achieve project objectives.· Works with management to correctly identify staffing needs.· Ensures that employee performance issues are documented and addressed.· May participate in tracking overhead cost for the Business Unit.· Execute multi-project progress reporting. Extracts, analyses, and reports on meaningful data from automated systems.· Investigates programmatic causes of variances between estimated, committed and actual amounts and recommends solutions or recovery plans.· Works with corporate functional leader to implement cornerstone systems.· Validates that Project Control PEP'S are being implemented throughout the Company. Coordinates, funds management and reporting.· Monitors, analyses and develops strategies for profit maximization. Implements Business Unit standards for change control.· Ensure that all Project Controls activities are in accordance with Project Controls plan and set Project Procedures and Job Instruction; Including preparation of schedules, cost reports, cash flow and variance analysis· Review and approve team members’ timesheets and submit to administration. Ensuring that the appropriate overtime approvals have been complete for upcoming overtime, these approvals are to be submitted with the corresponding timesheets· Supervision and quality control of planning, cost, procurement and progress measurement staff for overall completion of project objectives. Providing leadership in the selection, appraisal coaching, mentoring, training, and assistance in resolution of problems.· Monitor deviations from contractual obligations and put up change orders to seniors. Assisting in conducting periodic progress meetings.

Review of Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents, understanding, analysing and accurately assessing all ITT requirementsInvolvement in the development of the proposal’s strategy for the tender.Co-ordination, preparation and compilation of complete, compliant and professional proposal documentation, both technical and commercial, for submission to clients in line with client bid documents and tender deadlines.Reviewing first principle base cost estimates and supporting technical documentation, prior to review by ManagementManagement, including the managing of any further estimate amendments if necessary.Liaison with internal departments to ensure that all relevant input received is compliant with ITT requirements.Preparation and issue to client of appropriate and concise commercial and technical requests for clarification to client during the tender period.Liaison with the Procurement Group, material suppliers, equipment vendors and sub-contractors to ensure accurate and timely receipt of quotations.Attendance of, and presiding when required, internal tender review meetings.Attendance at client tender clarification meetings / negotiations, including the management and organisation of all required client endorsed changes to previously submitted tenders.Maintaining communication with client and support in obtaining client feedback on tenders submitted.Assisting in the preparation and compilation of contract documents, prior to signature, ensuring that all contract documentation is in line with all previously agreed tender negotiations.Receiving and understanding post-contract feedback, obtained from executed projects, for use in future bid efforts.Documenting and filing, in an organised manner, of all relevant tender correspondence and data.Handover of all relevant tender documentation to Projects and Contracts teams after award of contract and attendance of Project Start-Up meetings when required.Utilization of available resources to respond fully to client Expression of Interest and Pre-Qualification requirements.Assistance and support in preparing reports of progress and improvement, day-to-day operations, performance improvement and training as required.Adhering to all compliance and auditing requirements for the conduct of ethical and transparent operations including the compliance to all Company policies, guidelines and procedures.Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and compliance with all audits and inspections.
