Job Title: Electrical Technical Engineer Company: Elegancia Steel Location: Qatar Department: Technical / EngineeringRole Overview:The Electrical Technical Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical draftsmen, reviewing and verifying shop drawings and technical submittals, and ensuring all work complies with project specifications, local authority standards, and client expectations. The role involves close coordination with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical team, and consultants to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of all technical outputs.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage the work schedule of electrical draftsmen.Verify, check, and ensure the accuracy and quality of electrical shop drawings and technical submittals.Liaise effectively with MEP coordinators, the main contractor's technical team, consultants, and other project stakeholders.Ensure that shop drawings are prepared in accordance with design drawings, project specifications, and coordination with other disciplines.Maintain strict adherence to the project’s drawing submission schedules and quality targets.Ensure compliance with local authority requirements (KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety) and applicable standards (QCS2014, NFPA, etc.).Uphold and ensure adherence to the company's policies and procedures throughout project execution.Drive client, consultant, main contractor, and MEP project manager satisfaction through high-quality deliverables and proactive communication.Lead and guide technical engineers/draftsmen during the project engineering phase, assigning targets and managing deliverables.Review and approve electrical shop drawings, design calculations, material technical submittals, and method statements before submission.Coordinate with other technical departments for necessary reviews and approvals.Maintain strong knowledge of construction practices, electrical codes, standards, and local regulations.Ensure documentation and submissions are in compliance with ERP systems, preferably SAP.Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience:Minimum 8 years of overall work experience.At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering roles.Minimum 2 years of experience in the GCC region preferred.Certifications:UPDA Certified Engineer or equivalent certification with attestation.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of electrical codes, NFPA standards, and local regulations.Proficient in ERP systems; SAP functional knowledge preferred.Other Skills:Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
