One of our esteemed clients, a leading structural steel company in the UAE, is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. Specializing in steel design, fabrication, and installation for building and industrial construction, they are known for delivering high-quality steel solutions tailored to project needs.
Job Purpose:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing steel structure, metal works, and chain-link fence installation projects, ensuring successful execution within planned resources, schedules, and specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Job Description:
● Lead the planning and execution of steel structure projects.
● Maintain control on costs, quality and timelines.
● Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals ,and deliverables.
● Manage project budget, resource allocation, schedules, and quality assurance.
● Coordinate with operations, site engineers, and supervisors to ensure project completion.
● Ensure accurate setting out of works as per contract drawings and approved shop drawings.
● Raise Work Inspection Reports (WIR) and Material Inspection Reports (MIR) for consultant approval.
● Implement and monitor EHS procedures and site safety policies.
● Oversee material delivery, technical clarifications, and site progress.
● Liaise with General Foreman and Junior Engineer in respect of field problems, technical matters, and site safety.
● Ensure preparation of Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plan, as the work schedule requires, and ensure matters of site safety are incorporated as a priority or KPI.
● Monitor the work and report the progress, and any occurrences, that might create a delay or variation in the specified work.
● Maintain project documentation, including method statements, inspection & test plans (ITP), and site records.
● Ensure compliance with quality assurance and control procedures.
● Site survey and troubleshooting, handling queries from Production departments.
● Prepare and submit daily progress reports (DPR) and updates to senior management.
● Act as a liaison between the production and site teams to ensure timely material preparation and delivery.
● Handling Consultants and seeking MIR/WIR in time to ensure all Payment certificates are prepared with full works approval.
● Handle multiple projects as assigned by management.
