Roles & Responsibilities
Support Risk Management function.
Participate in reviews of the Risk register in Project meetings and workshops.
Perform Risk management activities which includes risk identification, assessment, and mitigation actions.
Responsible for Monitoring risk performance, examining the risks for changes in impact, probability, or control effectiveness.
Assign Risk and Action Owners to ensure better risk controlling and/or mitigation actions.
Identify, assess and treat risks associated with delivery of the projects particularly focus on schedule and cost impact due to 3rd party and other department interfaces.
Responsible for anticipation and prevention of the risk events rather than on reaction to those events and the correction of their consequences.
Responsible to perform Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment on a periodic basis or as required on the Projects. Identify plans to further evaluate or treating the identified risks so that appropriate mitigation actions are identified to minimize or nullify the impact.
Ensure that project teams are fully aware of the consequence of change upon mitigating and controlling risk.
Support project teams in the risk evaluation process.
Support maintaining the updated Risk Register with all the relevant fields correctly reflecting the real scenario.
Ensure all the Mitigation actions and the contingency plans are correctly documented.
Perform Risk Register update s on a periodic basis or as decided along with Risk status when open, and close risks that are no longer valid.
Responsible for Reporting changes and progress with risk response actions to senior management to support effective decision making.
Facilitate the development of Risk action Plan for all extreme and high classification risks. Conducts regular follow -up with the corresponding Risk.
Desired Candidate Profile
8 or more years risk management experience on large scale programmes.
Proven track record in the risk management process.
Multi ‐disciplinary experience across all stages of development.
Ability to deal with many stakeholders with competing priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail with strong organization skills.
Hands on experience with various risk management systems tools/assessments.
At least 4 years in the Middle East in significant development programmes and projects.
Relevant technical Degree.
Project Management Certification preferred.
