We are currently recruiting for a System Administrator – ICT Infrastructure to join our ICT team at Transguard Group.

Scope

The System Administrator role requires the holder to analyze, design, troubleshoot and maintain the corporate ICT Server Infrastructure. This includes cloud-based computing platforms and on-premises. The individual must participate in high large complexity project, execution of the end-to-end technology architecture and technical operations methods to enable continuity innovation within the infrastructure. The Senior System Administrator will be accountable for the following domains: physical and virtual servers, storage, backup, and emails.

Responsibilities:

General

• Administration of all Server infrastructure
• Review L1 and L2 network reports and send summary to ICT Operation manager
• L3 Administration of all Server infrastructure
• Maintain change documentation related to system changes
• Provide all necessary information to Level 1 and Level 2 support
• Provide weekly project status report to ICT operation Manager
• Provide Level 3 support via phone calls, emails, or in person
• Resolve complex system-related issues to the end user’s satisfaction
• Provide advanced end user training and information when required
• Understand and follow all ICT SOP and Policies
• Create and maintain detailed advanced system documentation
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical instructions and manuals
• Advanced understanding of ITIL framework
• Hands-on experience on the following hardware: HP Blade infrastructure and storage, VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, and backup solution
• Hands-on experience on the following solutions: Office365, Email security gateway, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft System Center Suite
• Basic understanding of PMP framework
• Assist with technology planning through ongoing research
• Ability to manage multiple activities and tasks simultaneously
• Take ownership for resolving L3 system-related issues

Information Security

• Familiarize with and adhere to the information security policies and procedures along with the policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility
• Protection of the issued equipment (e.g. laptops, mobile devices, etc.) against unauthorized access and damage
• Responsible for clearing the desk from all the sensitive material and logging off or locking workstations at the end of the day and when leaving their desk
• Shall report security incidents, suspected weaknesses in the security system, software malfunctions and/or failures to the information security team as soon as possible
