Job Overview:
The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing all architectural aspects of construction projects from design review through execution, ensuring they are delivered in alignment with project goals, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in coordinating efforts between project teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve architectural excellence and project success, including overseeing joinery, detailing, and fit-out elements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Architectural Plan Assessment
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Ensure that joinery, detailing, and fit-out elements are fully integrated into the construction plan.
· Technical Expertise
- Provide expert guidance and technical advice to project teams, consultants, and contractors regarding architectural design, construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Guide execution of architectural detailing, joinery techniques, and fit-out works.
· Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all architectural work complies with local and national building codes, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain updated knowledge of regulations specific to joinery and interior fit-outs.
· Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in architectural finishes, material usage, joinery, and fit-out workmanship.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with design intent.
· Budget and Resource Management
- Coordinate with project managers to manage architectural budgets and ensure resource availability.
- Assist in procurement planning related to architectural materials, joinery items, and fit-out components.
· Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and alignment in architectural execution.
- Ensure efficient communication regarding any changes or clarifications in detailing and fit-out design.
· Problem Resolution
- Identify and resolve issues related to architectural design, site conditions, detailing, joinery works, or material compatibility during construction.
- Provide practical solutions to address discrepancies between design and execution.
· Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain organized records of architectural revisions, inspections, and site progress.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports focusing on architectural, joinery, and fit-out aspects.
· Project Oversight
- Monitor and supervise the execution of architectural works, ensuring milestones are met.
- Ensure that all detailing, joinery, and fit-out works are completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
