Job Summary:-The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all environmental aspects of the EPC project to ensure full compliance with ADNOC's environmental standards, UAE environmental laws and regulations, and international best practices. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning.Key Responsibilities:-Environmental Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to ADNOC's HSE policies, standards, and procedures, with a strong focus on their comprehensive environmental guidelines.Permitting and Approvals: Prepare and secure all necessary environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from relevant authorities in coordination with ADNOC.Environmental Impact Assessment: Participate in and review Environmental Impact Assessment studies, ensuring all potential environmental and social impacts are identified and effective mitigation measures are proposed and implemented.Construction Environmental Management: Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and associated procedures.Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits of project sites to ensure compliance. This includes monitoring air quality, water quality, noise levels, and waste management practices. Prepare and submit regular environmental performance reports to project management and ADNOC.Waste Management: Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive project waste management plan, promoting waste minimization, segregation, and recycling in line with ADNOC's objectives.Spill Prevention and Response: Develop and implement a robust spill prevention and response plan, and ensure all personnel are trained in emergency procedures.Training and Awareness: Conduct environmental awareness training for all project personnel, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and adherence to ADNOC's 100% HSE culture.Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with ADNOC's environmental representatives, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders on all environmental matters.Incident Investigation: Lead or participate in the investigation of all environmental incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Job PurposeThe Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed civil and structural drawings for EPC ADNOC projects, in compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and engineering best practices. The role involves close coordination with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality drawings and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and develop detailed civil, structural, and architectural drawings for EPC oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and international standards.Convert conceptual designs and engineering calculations into precise 2D/3D CAD drawings.Draft GA (General Arrangement) drawings, reinforcement detailing, foundation layouts, grading plans, road layouts, and drainage systems.Update and revise drawings as per engineering markups, site instructions, and design changes.Ensure drawing accuracy, scale, dimensioning, and annotation per drafting standards.Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, and revision control in line with project procedures.Coordinate with civil engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to resolve drawing-related issues.Support the preparation of as-built drawings for final project handover.Follow ADNOC HSE and quality guidelines during all drafting and documentation work.

Examine drawings, specification, and method statement to define and understand construction criteria.Conduct required inspection and testing activities according to relevant inspection and test plans, and coordinate with Consultant.Prepare daily Quality Control Report and follow up on actions required with relevant Section Engineer.Coordinate with Section Engineer for daily Inspection schedule.Submit MIR to Consultant and perform joint inspection.Maintain Quality Records for inspection and test activities.

Ensure work carried out on site in accordance with latest approved drawing and specification, construction programme, method statements and resolve any technical site related issues.Overall supervision and coordination of General Foremen and Site Engineers areas of responsibilities and allocation of work areas, manpower, material, equipment etc. Follow-up to ensure execution of work is carried out in accordance with approved method statements.Completing all necessary QA documentation related to work and co-ordinate with Project QA Manager / Engineer for daily site inspections.Prepare required site reports and submit to Construction Manager in timely manner.Coordination of different Subcontractors work and perform regular inspection of work done to ensure compliance with specified requirements, compliance with schedule, ensure sufficient and competent resources are available. Report any trends for delays to Construction Manager.Maintain at all time site diary, recording daily site activities and any circumstances that have adverse effect on the Project.Ensures that all his subordinates and related subcontractors are using all latest approved shop drawings and submittalsGives instructions for keeping his accepted materials stored as required and in designated areas.Coordinates with the site safety officer and implements safety regulations on site.Participates in the handing over process.

Take an active role in site safety management and ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.To work closely with safety representative from the supervising consultants, subcontractors and vendors.Communicate and reporting safety performance to line management.To monitor observation of site safety rules by project team members, subcontractors and vendors to prevent accidents / incidents and where necessary issue warnings to those who do not abide by the HSE policy for rectification purposes in case of non-compliance and unsatisfactory safety performances. Work Improvement notices as well as stop work orders shall be raised wherever necessary.Undertake planned inspection and audit of all site operations to monitor compliance with statutory regulations, incl. ADPHC / OSHAD, DM Code of Construction Safety practice or Local regulatory requirements and observing HSE Policy.Attend schedule and ad-hoc safety meetings.To assist in the investigation of OHS related accidents, injuries, occupational hazards/illnesses or near misses etc. and make necessary recommendations.To promote safety awareness on site by providing safety induction training and safety briefings to workers & supervisors, coordinate & organize relevant in-house or external training programs as needed.To maintain relevant site safety files and records; submit monthly safety reports to the Project HSE Manager with copies to the Group HSE Office.Coordinate with Logistic to recommend site security measures and monitor their enforcement and notify any observation of substandard act to Logistic for their improvement.Responding to workers’ safety concernsTo coordinate with the site medical attendants, report to HSE Manager on the quantities and ordering of monthly medicine requirements as per the predefined list.To record, review and provide comments on risk assessment and OHS method statement for all hazardous activities on site.To handle problem areas and make necessary contingency arrangements.Carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations, aiming to test the effectiveness of site emergency response plans.Coordinates matters regarding hazardous materials or waste management with Logistic as well as sustainability team to site storekeeper, assist the handling and dispose of according to requirement.To identify potential hazard areas, recommend measures to Operation team so as to proactively prevent accidents.Generate and encourage generations of suggestions to improve safety at work thus moving towards making safety a collective effort.Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.All other duties as assigned with consent by the Group HSE Manager.
