Building Design (Civil & Structural):Lead the design of structural systems (concrete, steel, masonry) for buildings, including Pile foundations, superstructures, and substructures.Design and analyze civil infrastructure related to buildings (drainage systems, water supply system and other utilities).Produce detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications that comply with local and international building codes and standards.Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.Utilize BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla) for design and coordination with other disciplines.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Regulatory Compliance and Codes:Ensure that all designs meet the Project standards, local building regulations and international standards (Eurocodes, ADIBC, UAE Fire Code).Research and implement regulatory changes and industry best practices into the design process, ensuring full compliance throughout project phases.Prepare technical documentation and reports that demonstrate code compliance, risk assessments, and design justifications.Design Coordination and Integration:Collaborate with Architects, (MEP) Engineers, ensuring that all systems are integrated into the overall building design.Provide design solutions to technical challenges encountered during the design and construction phases.Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and value engineering sessions to optimize design solutions, focusing on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability.Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on structural engineering matters.Site Assessments and Inspections:Conduct site investigations and assessments to inform the design process.Review construction plans and conduct site visits to ensure the design is accurately followed during construction.Address any on-site modifications or issues with respect to structural and civil design elements.Quality Assurance:Ensure all designs adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.Monitor and ensure that all quality assurance procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the design and construction process.
